Redsun reads your Spott jobs, candidates, clients, contacts, placements and opportunities through the Spott API. Jobs you publish from Spott's Advertising tab go live on your website with their external title and advert copy, and every applicant is added to the job's pipeline with their CV and a note.
An API key from a Spott admin.
An admin creates the key under Settings → API in Spott. The key acts as the user who created it, so everything Redsun writes appears as that user's activity. Most agencies create it from a dedicated account such as "Website".
- Jobs, candidates, clients, contacts, placements and opportunities are read with a modified-since filter, so an hourly run fetches what changed
- Once a day every job is read in full, and roles that are closed or deleted in Spott come off your site
- Spott's webhooks are set up in its own settings and Redsun does not use them, so changes arrive on the next scheduled run or when you press Sync now

Each item below maps to an endpoint in the Spott API that the adapter calls.
Advertised jobs as pages
A job goes live on your site once it is published to a job board from Spott's Advertising tab. It carries the external job title, advert copy, location, salary, contract type and working pattern. Agencies that don't advertise through Spott can publish every open job instead.
Applicants in the pipeline
A website applicant is matched to an existing Spott candidate by email or created, then added to the job at the inbound stage set on its advert. Applying twice does not create a second application.
CV upload
The CV the candidate uploaded on your site is attached to their Spott profile as a CV.
Application notes
Each application adds a note to the candidate recording how they applied, with their phone, LinkedIn and cover letter.
Clients, contacts and placements
Spott clients, client contacts, placements and your Spott users come across too, and hiring managers from your employer forms are created as client contacts.
Sensitive fields left out
Spott candidate records carry gender, nationality and date of birth. Redsun never reads or stores them.

- Which Spott jobs appear on my website? +
- Jobs in an open stage that are published to at least one job board from Spott's Advertising tab: the Spott job board, LinkedIn or a multiposter. Open jobs you haven't advertised stay off the site, which keeps confidential searches private. If you never advertise through Spott, you can set the connection to publish every open job.
- Where do applicants land in Spott? +
- In the job's pipeline, at the inbound stage you picked when you published the advert. Jobs without one use the first application stage of your standard pipeline, and you can name a different stage on the Connections screen. Someone already in Spott is matched by email, so no duplicate profile is created.
- Does Spott push changes to Redsun instantly? +
- No. Spott sends webhooks, but they are set up in Spott's own settings and Redsun doesn't use them. Changes arrive on the hourly sync or when you press Sync now, and every job is re-read in full once a day, so a job's advertising status is never more than a day old.
