Live Sections (CRM-Synced)

Drop real-time CRM data onto your site — live jobs, placements, salary trends, and consultant activity that auto-refresh.

1

What are Live Sections

Live Sections are a Fusion-only category of section types that pull real-time data from your connected CRMs (Firefish, JobAdder, Loxo, Atlas) and display it on any page of your site. Unlike standard sections where you edit content manually, Live Sections render whatever's currently in your CRM and refresh on a configurable interval. They turn your website into a living window onto your business — without you touching a thing.

Sites with Live Sections feel alive. Visitors see fresh placements, current jobs, and real activity — building trust faster than static testimonials.

2

The 10 Live Section types

Redsun ships 10 Live Section types, each backed by a different CRM data source: **Jobs & roles:** Live Jobs Carousel, Live Jobs Grid (with search + sector filters), Live Salary Ticker (scrolling salary data). **Placements & consultants:** Live Placements Feed (timeline of recent placements), Live Consultant Spotlight (leaderboard with medals), Live Application Velocity (counter + sparkline trend). **Market intelligence:** Live Stats Counter (multi-table aggregation), Live Sector Depth (avg salary, candidate/client counts per sector), Live Skills Cloud (weighted skill tags from your candidate database), Live Employer Activity (companies with active hires).

3

Adding a Live Section

Open the Site Builder and select any section on the canvas. In the context dock footer, click the orange **Live** button (next to the Section button). A popover opens listing all 10 Live Section types — click one to insert it immediately after your selection. The new section pulls its data on first render and shows a loading skeleton while fetching.

If you're on Glow or Flare, the Live button is locked. Click it anyway to see what's available — you'll get a one-click upgrade path to Fusion.

4

Configuring the data binding

Each Live Section has a `liveDataBinding` config in its content schema with three fields: `source` (which CRM table to query), `filters` (optional sector / location / status filters), and `refreshInterval` (how often to re-fetch, in seconds). Open the Content tab in the context dock to edit these. Sensible defaults are pre-set when you insert a section — a 5-minute refresh interval is the typical starting point.

5

Choosing a layout variant

Most Live Sections support 3 layout variants. For example, Live Jobs Carousel offers cards / compact / featured; Live Stats Counter offers inline / cards / hero; Live Salary Ticker offers scroll / cards / strip. Open the Section tab in the context dock to switch. The variant selector shows a live preview as you hover.

6

Empty and loading states

Each Live Section has built-in fallbacks: • **Loading**: skeleton placeholder matches the variant's layout so the page doesn't shift. • **Empty**: if the data source returns zero rows (e.g. no placements in the last 30 days), the section auto-hides on the live site and shows a neutral 'no data yet' card in the builder so you know the section is wired correctly. • **Error**: if the CRM call fails, the section quietly hides on the live site so visitors never see broken content.

If a Live Section is showing 'no data yet' in the builder, check your CRM connection in Connections → make sure data exists for the filters you've set.

7

Filtering by sector

On multi-sector sites, Live Sections automatically scope to the active sector context when placed inside a microsite. So a Live Jobs Carousel on your /finance microsite will only show finance roles, even if your CRM contains roles across many sectors. Override with explicit filters in the binding config if you need different behaviour.
